HYSTEROSCOPIC MYOMECTOMY OF LARGE FIBROIDOMAS WITH BIPOLAR RESECTOSCOPE

Using bipolar surgical hysteroscopy, we can remove large submucous fibroids, without the patient having to undergo major surgery. In most of cases the next day life can be almost normal.

It is a technique that allows the best results, with a surgeryvery little invasive, accessing the interior of the uterus with acamera that allows us to control the intervention tothrough of a monitor.

Therefore, not only do we give the patient the maximum effectiveness with less risk, but we also anticipate the usual average waiting time for_cc781905-5cde-3194-bb3b-136bad5cf this type of interventions. This in some cases is very important.

The percentage of pregnancies in sterile patients treated hysteroscopically for fibroids is 59% and 75% of pregnancies end allowing a live child to be obtained. The immediate complication rate is 2%.

It therefore seems very advisable to hysteroscopically treat submucosal fibroids in sterile patients.

Surgical hysteroscopy for the removal of large fibroids is performed in a hospital operating room with anesthesia.

In most cases the patient stays alone a few hours in the hospital after the intervention y spends the night at home. In some cases and for safety reasons, the patient sleeps in the hospital and is discharged the next morning.

Once we diagnose  the patient by ultrasound, the existence of fibroids in her uterus, it is necessary to proceed with a diagnostic hysteroscopy to_cc781905-5cde-3194- bb3b-136bad5cf58d_ confirm its real size and location, since we only recommend removing those that cause pain, bleeding, may prevent pregnancy or those that are likely to cause_cc78190 -5cde-3194-bb3b-136bad5cf58d_abortos.

We can perform this hysteroscopy the same day or at following the first consultation. Once the reality is seen, the patient is advised and the options and consequences are explained, as well as the procedure. If the patient decides to perform the intervention, fecha  will be scheduled and we will perform it in a few days.

We can complete the entire process in a week or even less from the moment the patient contacts us.

When it comes to small fibroids, we perform the same technique in the operating room of our Clinic and after the intervention the patient goes home and the next day leads a normal life.
